Long take, Short take
A long take is an uninterrupted shot in a film which lasts much longer than the conventional editing pace either of the film itself or of films in general, usually lasting several minutes. A short take is the opposite of this, it is an interrupted shot in a film which is very short in length. Here at 3:10 is an example of a long take when the shot is focused on the man taking a drink for a long length of time.
